The Head of the Charles Regatta

By Tim Lindgren | Last Updated: March 14, 2004

If you want to experience fall in Boston at it's best, you might want to check out the Head of the Charles Regatta this Saturday and Sunday. According to the official website , this is the "world's largest two-day rowing event," a claim that seems reasonable once you see that shear number of competitors and boats that congregate along the Charles over the weekend. If the weather is nice, it will be a great way to both leaf-peep and people watch along a scenic stretch of the Boston/Cambridge riverfront. If you feel ambitious, you could also walk over to Mt. Auburn Cemetery for a stroll (see Dan's sighting)
